Looking for info about the 47th during WWII. My uncle, Mason Clayton, was a BAR gunner until he was wounded by German mortar fire at Kothen. He is still alive (88 years) but doesn't much like to talk about his experiences, and I don't blame him. I just wanted to put together a map from where he started his service to where he was wounded. If any one has any info about I Co. or the 47th RCT and what their route through Germany was please contact me:
