I'm not exactly sure what the problem is but for the moment it appears that oldreliable.org is offline. I've sent an e-mail to Leon Baldwin (the person who maintains this site) asking if there's something that I can do to help with this or at least take over the name maintenance. Either way, I thought I'd make a quick post letting everyone know that it is certainly offline at this point and I don't have any more information past that.

I wanted to give visitors a quick update on this.
At this point, still, no one appears to know exactly what happened to this site and why it went down. I have e-mailed the listed owner and even placed a call leaving a message to the listed owner. Unfortunately at this time, I have not received 'any' response or indication that this site will come back.
I'm pointing this out in addition to the fact that I'd like to see it back online, but also that we've had an increasing number of visitors arriving here and, for whatever reason, mistaking this site (www.octofoil.org) for that one (www.oldreliable.org).
These sites are "not" the same, they have "not" been the same ever. Please note this before becoming upset with myself or with this site. This site, www.octofoil.org is "specifically" for The 9th Infantry Division Association. It is the web presence for that organization and deals primarily with Association information and 9th Infantry Division information from the World War II era. The oldreliable.org site, while containing a lot of great information about the 9th Infantry Division, was "not" the official Association site, so 'please' make this distinction and 'please' at least realize that they are 2 completely separate sites and always have been.
I don't mind if you have complaints, problems or just feel like insulting and being upset with me for whatever reason, but "please" at least make sure that you're doing so with some semblance of legitimacy. I cannot be responsible for an individuals inability to take note of what website they are going to. Nor can I be responsible for other websites that I have no control over no longer being available.
I am personally doing what I can to try and assist with getting the other site back online, including contacting the owner and offering free services just to get it back online, but at this point that has not happened and I have no indication that it will happen.
